Earlier this month, tensions escalated as police, including tourist officers, launched a large-scale operation to control the situation on Soi VC and Soi Yen Sabai. Over 50 officers participated in closing entry points and quelling the disruptive night riding. As authorities made their presence felt, some riders attempted to hide their modified bikes in hotel car parks, while others questioned the police intervention. However, law enforcement made it clear they were responding to numerous complaints, warning that further transgressions would lead to arrests and possibly tougher measures. The Pattaya police are taking a firm stand, with plans to confiscate bikes and target those renting out modified vehicles.
