Authorities Raid Large Gambling Den in Nakhon Nayok
Picture captured from venue’s CCTV. Authorities conducted a late-night raid on a large illegal gambling den in Nakhon Nayok, arresting over 100 individuals, many of them elderly. The venue, which had been operating with high security and modern facilities, was shut down by law enforcement in a coordinated operation. The raid was carried out at approximately 23:00 on 3 February 2025 by the Special Operations Unit of the Department of Provincial Administration. Reports indicate that the operation was meticulously planned, with officers storming the premises in force. Upon arrival, authorities found a large number of vehicles parked outside the locked facility. Inside, over 100 people were actively engaged in various forms of gambling. The sudden appearance of law enforcement caused widespread panic, with some gamblers attempting to flee or hide under tables, but all were eventually detained. Officials confirmed that the venue had been operating with extensive security measures, including CCTV surveillance. The facility was also air-conditioned, indicating it had been running for a significant period. Authorities have launched further investigations to identify those responsible for managing the illegal operation. Officials have pledged to intensify crackdowns on gambling dens across the province, citing concerns over criminal activity and public order. Those arrested are expected to face legal proceedings, while law enforcement continues efforts to track down the organisers behind the operation. The operation, led by Police Colonel Sonchai Poonphon of Bangmon Police Station, took place on 2 February in Soi 44, Rama II, Chomthong district. The raid followed a tip-off from an informant regarding an illegal hi-lo dice game. Officers seized gambling paraphernalia, including a hi-lo board, dice set, a pink plastic basket, and a notebook containing gambling records. Additionally, they confiscated 850 baht in cash, 59 UNO cards, two pens, two tables, and four plastic chairs. The main suspect, identified as Mr. Sor, 43, admitted to organising the gambling operation within his home. He has been charged with facilitating illegal gambling, while the other 23 individuals face charges of participating in illicit gambling activities. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to enforcing the national anti-crime and anti-vice policies, with all suspects now in police custody awaiting further legal proceedings. -- 2025-02-04 -

New Non-immigrant O from UK
OP, first up the issue of obtaining a reentry permit for the 90 day stamp. @scoutman360 asked this in a thread may 2024. His report .... "For those interested, today I got my re-entry permit at CW in Bangkok under a 90 day Non-O for retirement. No questions, no issues. I had a booked appointment and was in and out in 15 minutes. Thanks for all your help!" However note in same thread a guy asked same question at CM and was told clearly...NO..cannot obtain a Reentry Permit to protect the 90 days. My understanding is that you can. OP, in the month you are out of Thailand where will you be? Ask as you could obtain a Non O eVisa during the month outside of Thailand. OP, exact same question asked in this thread.... https://aseannow.com/topic/1324898-i-got-a-non-o-single-visa-but-i-would-like-to-enter-into-visa-exempt-use-the-visa-later/ -
