A Sterling Effort By Mossfinn

Featured Replies

Photo's to follow, as I hope other peoples takes on the weekend:

The car that picked me up from Oxford Bus Station following a three and a half hour journey through Englands most green and rolling, looked small on The Scouser, but Mossfinn had a green curry to get back to and the wee car did the job.

Arriving at the Casa del Moss we were greeted by The Scouser and Mossfinn's beautiful wives and respective babies, as well as plenty of nearly cold Stella and a fantastic spread of green curries, beef (oyster sauce?) and Moss's speciality dish. Perhaps my one regret of the weekend that I did not eat more. my appetite wasn't for food as much as it was for some serious drinking and getting to know some of my fellow tv.com members.

Robski managed to get there on time for lunch, and floowing some cigs and beer in the beautiful backyard of Moss's, the four of us headed out.

What follows is a blur:

*Laughter, lots of it.

*Markr managed to join us for a while before quite sensibly leaving us to our wasteland of pubs.

*More laughter all round.

*Most of the MossFinn clan joined us in various pubs.

*A sh1tload of laughter.

*Three teenage girls posed in a photo with me - twice.

*More laughter.

*I got refused service in The pub that Alice in wonderland was written in, and some Hobbit trilogy too.

*Political discussions ensued between Moss and the Scouser - Robski on moderation duties.

*Additional Laughter sprinkled here

*Oh, and I think there was copious amounts of beers imbibed. And a single malt whisky somewhere.

*oh and a burger.

Kayo to the cab driver: "I'd like to stop and get a burger on the way please."

Cab Driver (flailing arms about): "Oh but then I must make detour and go this way and there and oh no, very difficult...!"

The Scouser to cab driver (tummy rumblings): "What part of "I'd like a burger." do you not understand?" :o

I'll need the other lads to fill in more details.

Robski's got most of the pics, and the scousers got one or two intimate ones, I believe.

Mossfinn, you outdid yourself on what can only be described as a gloriously memorable blur of a night out. I look forward to returning your hospitality one day soon. (maybe before I have any babies though)

PS: Thanks for the fantastic fry up this morning.

Excellent time! :D A group of guys that had never met before meet up for a 'celebration' and get on like a house on fire, on

a pub crawl come sightseeing trip between 6 historic pubs to consume copious amounts of alcohol, mission accomplished!

Personally, apart from meeting everybody of course, I was looking forward to my first Thai food in three months and some real ale which I haven't had for even longer and I wasn't dissapointed, the green curry laid on by Moss and Scouser's wives was delicious and the beer in the pubs was a real treat, Ruddles Best Bitter, Old Peculiar and a local bitter I can't remember that went down a treat, all polished off at the end with vast quantities of Vodka.

It was a great night out filled with laughter as Kayo said and we didn't talk about the rest of you lot once :o honestly.

Thanks and I hope to see you all again.

Here we all are left to right; John (Moss's brother) Me, Kayo, Scouser, Moss and Markr.

Happy days. :D

I invaded that pub with a group of about 20 maybe a dozen years ago. Got much the same response. :o

To be perfectly fair to the Landlord, he wasn't refused service, the Landlord just informed me that Kayo could have any drink he wanted as long as it was Water. :o

Only trouble was, I had to wake him to tell him :D

Certain parts of this comment have had certain 'Writers Licence', changes to the actual event, and any connection to actual people, real or imagined is purely accidental or more likely coincidental.

Edit double Post Computer playing up or I am still sobering up, I had better post on on the night a little later when in better spirits, hopefully a Special Reserve 12 Year old Single Malt that was kindly donated by Scouse.

:o:D

Oh yeah, I think I passed out once or twice... :bah:

But to be perfectly honest, I think I made liberal use of "Writers licence" in my O.P.

Cos I certainly didn't remember half of it til you lot reminded me this morning.

I love cringe-worthy nights. :D:D:bah::D

cute-looking lot all u boys are :D and sounds like u all had a great time :D

Moss -- congrats again :D

am I forgiven now?? :o

PS> if I am then I can start complaining about why I wasnt invited :D

Everyone including Kayo pished and I didnt get an invite... :D

Hope you had a goodtime guys :D:o

It certainly was a pleasure to meet everyone, and a good time was had by all, although Kayo became a bit disgruntled when Markr turned up and usurped his position as the youngest there. Thanks to Moss and Mrs. Moss for putting us up.

Here's a couple of piccies I caught on the mobile phone...

Kayo and Moss

Oo-er missus! Robski and Kayo snogging :o

Scouse.

What an historic event! Lovely snaps, boys. Kayo, you losing weight again?

So, "we didn't talk about anybody else, honest" ... That's the biggest, fattest lie I ever heard. Mind you, if you drank that much, it's likely no-one remembers. And I thought Brits went for Indian curry after a drunkfest.

Joking, glad to hear you all met up and had lots of laughs. You sound like a superlative host, Moss.

Robski and Kayo are an item now?

£25 on their way to you scouse! :D Now, where's that business card of yours...? :o

Anymore wise cracks about Robski and me and I'll have your liver with Chianti.

I think he just mistook me for a walking Asia Friend Finder banner.

:D

Robski and Kayo are an item now?

We are good friends, but not in a poofy kind of way. :o

Just want to make you jealous Jet, by the way were your ears burning last night? :D

:D Me, jealous? Yes, I want all the boys to meself.

Ears burning? No but the tresses molted at the dinner table, ate three of their younguns and refused to coil up for Life of Brian.

Good to see that you all had a great time - can tell by the broad smiles (not) on your face that you lot of are in England :D

We will just have to get by here in the warm sunshine, with a 20 baht green curry, and a few bottles of Beer Singha to console ourselves.

So Kayo has done the dirty on Jet and moved in with Robski - when do you guys move back up into Sweden :D

have fun guys

CB

Glad you all had a great time guys. Sorry i couldn't make it this time but i will the next time. I've had many a beer with the Scouser already, so i know what kind of hangover i have missed out on :o

Here's a few more pics.

Scouse and myself arguing the finer points of Irish Politics, luckily Robbo was their to MOD the situation, the attempted head butt by Scouse is pictorial evidence of the near physical violence that might have ensued. :o

And as it was in the pub that Tolkien wrote elements of LOTR, it has a striking resemblance of a Mountain Troll about to squeeze the life out of an unfortunate Hobbit.

Scouse & Robbo getting to know each other better.

I can post some more if you want, but your particular one there might be a problem.

I remember an issue with a member posting a pic of him and some random lady he met on the street, and the MODS got a little agitated because there was no acceptance of the said young lady for it to go public.

I will let you know.

Moss

Wetting the baby's head eh Moss?????? Looks like it was fun!!!

I am afraid it was a full bath from boots to hat in the Thames the Cherwell and the Canal. :o

Pixilate the face!!!

Hey kayo, weren't we supposed to do something similar 'up north'?

Let's get it on!

I don't believe they got on so well in real life. It's a blessing ain't it? Really enjoy the pics and notes. Thanks, boys.

If you have another beddiefest, can I join? Well, would it be OK if I sent Kate Moss as my proxy?

As the tourists agreed to have their photo taken, I see no problem with you posting it here.

Taoism: shit happens

Buddhism: if shit happens, it isn't really shit

Islam: if shit happens, it is the will of Allah

Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it

Judaism: why does this shit always happen to us?

Atheism: I don't believe this shit

Thanks for the response JD, Kayo will be pleased :o

The previous issue was with the Punter but I feel there might have been other issues there.

Moss

I love the buildings.

Me too!

It's one of the things that I love about living in the UK - proper history. I went to a wedding resently that was in a church which was built in 1611! Wow!
