Muang district police in Prachuap Khiri Khan caught a serial coin thief red handed as he broke into a coin dispensing machine at a 24 hour laundry in the area.

 

Thirty seven year old Khachen Yimyaem was found in possession of 1,000 baht in 10 and 5 baht coins.

Inside his Toyota Hilux pick-up police found four yaba tablets.

 

Khachen said that he was a deliveryman who targeted new launderettes that he found using GPS.

He'd been delivering in Pattani in the south and on the way back to Samut Prakan he'd been stealing in Surat Thani then Prachuap.

 

He admitted to more than 20 such thefts netting him about 40,000 baht in those provinces as well as Bangkok, Samut Prakan and Samut Sakhon. 

 

He once got 10,000 baht in a single theft.

 

He used the money to buy drugs and for living expenses, reported Daily News.
