Vaccination proof flying domestic?

Featured Replies

Are they asking for proof of vaccination flying domestic in thailand nowadays? Thinking about airasia, nokair, vietjet, thaismile etc.

AirAsia this month bkk to chiang mai, no vaccination documents required.

Absolutely nothing since months.

(no checks since flights I have done from Dec 21 to July).

All domestic flights/airlines.

Masks >might< still be required in airports/planes (not sure).

Meal/snack/drink service also has restarted.

ThaiSmile last weekend Hat Yai - Bangkok and return no vaccination proof necessary. Masks are worn by most in the airport, and I saw no one without on the flight.

Masks are not required anywhere in the airport, including gate, security and immigration check. I would agree technically "most" are wearing them if you considering "most" people in domestic terminal are Thai, but still an abundance of people not participating in the theater - basically every foreigner.  On board masks are merely suggested and most foreigners won't be wearing them - hatyai is hardly a tourist destination though, you can pass through completely unmasked through all stages.

As maybe, but in Survarnabhumi domestic terminal most people (95%) were masked, the exception being some, but not all foreigners. On the flight everyone was masked, myself included, personally I don't have an issue with wearing a mask, it doesn't bother me. BTW Hat Yai is a tourist destination, just not one for westerners.

Interestingly in Bangkok wearing a mask the tuk-tuk and taxi touts ignored me, they clearly mark masked farang as being local rather than a tourist, ditto 99% of pavement hawkers, touts and urchins. I'll stick with a mask ????
