Can't find blue book, only Chinot?

Featured Replies

Hello, I've been walking through my documents, and shockingly found that I have only the "chinot" of a condominium I've bought a couple of years ago, but not the blue book.  ????

I hope this isn't a major problem (?), certainly it will invoke massive bureaucratic steps to get it. Does anyone know where to go and what to do in order to get my blue (or even yellow) book?

thanks!

Simple straight forward answer. Go to your Amphur. They will supply a replacement.

you'd need the sale documents as well as the Chanote to reissue the blue book

Assuming you actually had a tabien-baan (blue book) when you bought the place Task-A would be to go to the local cop shop and make a police report that it's been lost.

Thanks for all the answers, very helpful - - will do that! ????

1. Report the book lost at the police station and get a report.

2. Take the report, your chanote. your sale document and your passport to the District Office. A replacement book costs something like 20 baht.

My wife says 'no need'. Could the OP comeback on 'report'?

WHAT IF MY TABIEN BAHN IS LOST, CAN I RE-APPLY FOR A NEW ONE?

Yes, you just need to apply to the District Office and they will issue a new Tabien Bahn for a minimal fee.  You can either go to Police Station to secure a Police Report for lost Tabien Bahn and submit to the District Office or you may go directly to the District Office.

I think it will depend on the District Office. I've had to deal with a few in Bangkok, and a police report has always been needed.

You must go at a police station, show proof of your identity and residence. They should make a report. Some police stations refuse to do it

Obviously my station refused to do it.

This has nothing to do with getting a new house book.

My mistake but the Blue book can be obtained at the local Amphur without a police report.
