Opinion – Prayut’s victory could spell boon to the opposition come general elections

Effective today 2014 coup leader Prayut Chan-o-cha is set to return to his old job of being the Prime Minister after the Constitutional Court votes 6:3 to allow him to return to the position saying that his term as the Prime Minister started after the 2016 constitution was implemented on April 6, 2017.

 

The judgment by the court was anything but expected, as the court has in the past made such justifications for things it wants to push though as was the case on May 5, 2021, when the same court allowed an ex-jailed convict to remain a minister despite the constitution specifically stipulating that a convict is not allowed to be Member of Parliament let alone a minister.

 

The ‘justification’ that the Constitutional Court had given for the 1994 convicted drug dealer – Thammanat Prompao, was that he did not commit the crime in Thailand and therefore he was eligible to continue as the Deputy Agriculture Minister.

Those who have friends in high places always overcome all obstacles that are seemingly against them moving forward.   While those who are not seen as being in the pockets of the usurpers, and try to legally take the country back by being truly elected, are denied and then banned for silly reasons which those in power are also guilty of. Parties disbanded while those that still flout the same are still at the trough.  From the outside looking in this looks like it has all been allowed by a divinity, while those rejected and crucified do not have the blessing from the divine spirit. Buddha must truly be in a fickle mood with this country.

They are not the Thai great and good, they are the cancer that holds Thailand back at every single turn

 

They are dinosaurs who are terrified to lose their grip on power and the right to rape the country, they are morally corrupt, they are absolutely beneath contempt but they say a society get's the government and institutions they deserve 

 

The true tragedy is until the Thai populace decide enough is enough nothing will change and the only way to get change is through blood and tears, I fear the populace doesn't have the stomach to make change happen, I hope I am wrong...

The real question is, have the Thai people finally gotten sick and tired of the constant corruption, malfeasance, shenanigans, lies, deceit, power grabbing, manipulation, and have the covid related problems created by this administration soured them even more?

 

If so, we should start seeing alot of discontent now that the KPIP (keep Prayuth in power) decree is being lifted. If not, there is no hope, whatsoever, for the future of the nation.

They will ban individuals, parties and movements; if things get lairy then possibly shoot a few - unless this bunch are ejected, and of course even if rejected at the polls they will still have to be physically driven from power, then there is no hope for the nation.
