Breathtaking! That is possibly the most blatant lie ever told by anyone wearing a uniform in Thailand, and that's really saying something. Everyone knows that it could not be further from the truth, as is evidenced by the numerous coups that have taken place over many decades. Not only that, the army chief who removed the democratically elected government and installed himself as PM still lives in an army compound.

Yup. Living in the compound provides safety in numbers.

Also it allows the police to patrol the gates to protect the soldiers.

Brilliant stuff????????

and who is the top brass? Would that be the unelected PM "there will be no coup" and his sleeping partner not forgetting the other Chuckle brother "the farangs are dirty and don't shower"?

This is top brass..

The current PM also doubles as defense minister?

The military regime is the government, more generals in politics than civvies.
