THAI Airways - Online Booking-Fare Currence

Featured Replies

I am in UK using the Thai Airways website to book and pay for a ticket fot a relative SUW-LHR-SUW.

The fares quoted are in Thai Baht but I want to to view them in Pounds Sterling.

How can I change the Fare Prices to the currency of my choice?

When I just tried to make a dummy purchase I could only change the currency on the final page where you enter your card details to pay for the tickets. There is a blue drop down box on the top right hand corner of the page:

To give you an idea, their website converted 77,850 baht into a fee of 1,981.88 pounds.

Thank you gentlemen, I shall try your suggestions.

Curiously, the website is picking up and entering my name for the traveller despite me using a different computer in a different country and NOT logging-in to my Thai Arways account

Be very careful doing this as it may result in Dynamic Currency Conversion taking place.  If this happens Thai Airways will set the exchange rate instead of Mastercard/Visa and it won't be in your favour.

If your doing this to avoid overseas transaction fees on your card you may end up worse off.
