Local road from Chalong to Patong to be renovated

Patong – A local road shortcut from Chalong to Patong will be renovated for road users.


The Phuket Governor Narong Woonciew and the President of the Phuket Provincial Administration Organisation (PPAO) Rewat Areerob this morning (October 24th) surveyed the local road behind the Silsuparam Temple in Chalong.

 

Mr. Rewat told the Phuket Express, “The road has already existed which is a shortcut from Chalong and leading to Patong. The total distance is about three kilometers.

The headline is a bit misleading...the proposed road is apparently on Forest Department land and they have to approve the road (which they have declined in the past).

That road has been there for more than 20 years....how it has never been sorted out to be a legal road is just another TIT
