Daily News Thai Caption: Defamation charges made

She was the talk of Thailand through much of 2016 and a regular staple on ASEAN NOW's platform then known as Thaivisa.

This is none other than Ying Kai or Lady Kai.

Six years ago she was finally jailed after she claimed to be a princess.

Her employees claimed she falsely charged them with theft and imprisoned them against their will.

In July of that year after countless news stories she woke up behind bars.

She was then known as Monta Yokratanakan, notes ASEAN NOW.

Now free and named Saranya Upatasanti, aged 65, she went with her lawyer to the Rattanathibet police in Nonthaburi to file defamation charges against multiple news outlets and people who have commented online, reported Daily News.

It concerns a relationship and inheritance matters in relation to a billionaire tycoon.

Her lawyer said "Phee Kai" had been defamed by news outlets on TV, Facebook, YouTube and many other platforms.

There was also defamatory comments from so-called keyboard warriors.

Lady Kai said everyone was being nasty to her and she had plenty of evidence to place before the cops.
