Wondering if anyone has suggestions for a good place to stay for 3 nights.  We plan to get a 3 day pass.  Mid January time. Any other trip tips appreciated.   A pool and nearby nightlife would be nice. Where is the bar area?

Thanks for the link.  Those rooms are 100$ +.  There are many in that price range.   We prefer rooms about half that much.

No pool, but very handy for Pub Street and adjacent area. A deluxe room comes out at under 1,500 Baht a night. Ta Prohm will be similar.

There is a huge choice in your price range but Siem Reap was VERY slowly recovering from Covid when we visited at the end of  August. - many hotels like the City River had not reopened, nor the big 4/5 star places on the outskirts.

Siem Reap was virtually 100% tourist dependent so Covid hit it harder than many places.

One day is quite enough

....and for me, but for some 3 days is not enough. They were doing offers on passes but surprisingly they had not reduced the entry fee of US$37 that was significantly increased 4 years ago. Visitor numbers have been decimated.

Garden Village Guesthouse and pool bar was always my 1st choice.

Nice swimming pool, beer served 24/7 at 50c/glass.

Close to everything, $10-$15/night.

Garden village is booked Jan 17-20

We did book this place but reading the reviews we are trying to cancel because trip adviser reviews say it's to close to loud bars and a bit rundown.

Reaksmey Chanreas Hotel

We are in town 3 days but have not bought the 3 day pass yet.   I do enjoy and appreciate stone masonry. What other things are there to do in SR?
