Pre paying Water & electric bills

Featured Replies

Hello ...  I was wondering if it is possible to pre pay ones water & electric bills in advance (load up my accounts with money) if so how do I go about doing this ??.. I know I could set up a bank DD payment system but I do not want to go down that road ...

Cheers ????

When I travel outside Thailand, the SCB app on my phone makes it possible to pay my electric. I just bring a previous bill with the code on it, works like a champ. The water bill I negotiate with the juristic manager.

Are you in a condo? if so you can prepay water for sure by paying extra money. Paying electric is easy enough using bank app or PEA app

Same applies with PEA App.

(I scan the QR Code on my PEA and Water bill to pay them.... I wonder if each code is unique or whether scanning a code from an old bill, would take you into the same account.)?

If you are using MEA (Metropolitan Electric Authority), then you can download their app and pay using the app. You can even use foreign issue credit cards. I do believe they will charge you up to 5 Baht service charge. This is what I do, and I have set a reminder in my calendar to remind me to pay for it every month.

Somewhat unlikely considering the OP posted in the Pattaya forum.........
