Thai Rath reported that Tha Rua police and rescue services in the Klong Toey area of Bangkok went to rented accommodation in the area of the Wat Klong Toey Nai community yesterday morning.

On the second floor outside a rented room they found the body of 34 year old Methinee Wetthaisong  from Nong Khai lying in a pool of blood.

She was wrapped in a blanket wearing just a purple bra and purple shorts.

Her neck had been slashed and she was covered in bruises.

The man responsible was her husband Chalerm Raksapetch, 55, a laborer at the port.

Police heard that the couple had been together for just five months and rented a room there.

The wife was a serious alcoholic who had no employment.

The husband was said to be an easily angered man who was jealous.

At 4 pm on Sunday they had gone with friends to drink lao khao (white spirits) at a nearby shop until everyone was drunk.

On their return home an argument developed in which the husband accused the wife of having eyes for another man at the drinks party.

He attacked her with a box cutter he kept with him and they were both covered in blood.

He dragged her body under the stairs and went to get a blanket from upstairs to wrap her up.

This all happened in view of neighbors with no one prepared to intervene in the domestic dispute.

Later he got a neighbor to help him carry her upstairs but realizing that she was already dead he dumped his wife outside their room and fled the scene.

Police have obtained a warrant for Chalerm's arrest while the body of his wife was taken by Ruam Katanyu rescue to Chula Hospital for autopsy.

I have tried it before & have always said you could clean paint brushes with it as it garstly, but is it that close to actually describing it as white spirits ? lol

What kind of sick individuals can just stand by and watch a Woman being carved up with a Box Cutter.

I'd hardly call the wife being unemployed in Thailand a 'hard life'. More like a lazy one.

It'll be a hard life ,only one income and most of it goes on the grog.

The kind that believe that intervening will result in their almost certain death with little chance of actually saving the woman.

Real life isn't like the movies.

Ones that also don't want to be carved up with a box cutter, I'd imagine.

No-one bothered to call the police then?
