dddave
I recently switched renting my condo through an agent to direct from owner. Electric bills used to be paid through the agent. Now I must pay PEA directly. I tried downloading the Android App using the QR code on the bill, no joy. I get a red "Not available in your country" notice though my location is available and phone set to Thailand. Reviews on the app store are universally one and two star, lots of complaints about app not working. I tried the PEA website, again no joy. Couldn't find an English option. What are the options for paying PEA bills? ATM? (Bangkok Bank) 7-11?, other?
Popular Post Halfaboy
With some creativity and perseverance you can set up an automatic payment with PEA. Setting up is somewhat cumbersome. Go the the PEA office and tell them that you want to 'cut bank' for the monthly bill. You get a form that needs to be completed by your bank. So go to the bank and have it filled in and signed and go back to PEA. From that moment om payments go flawlessly (assuming a positive balance). Have fun.... 2 4

Do you own or rent? I'm concerned as a renter that if I terminated my rental, knowing how stodgy and slow Bangkok Bank can be, that they might continue to take money out for subsequent bills, delaying termination.
Popular Post Crossy
Here you go - PEA Smart Plus_v2.1.8.apk It needs a 13 digit ID number in the correct format for Thailand, if you don't have a pink ID your Thai vaccine registration number should work. There are also websites that will create a valid Thai ID number out of thin air. No checking is done by the app. 2

Does not matter renting or owning. Once working, the system works perfectly. If you want to terminate just tell BKK Bank and the deduction stops. Or in case of moving inform the PEA on this. Have done this already a number of times for a variety of condo's and houses and BKK Bank has every time promptly taken action. 1

On the top menue "Utilities" -> "PEA". Bangkok Bank for strange reason knows MEA (Bangkok) but not PEA. I have setup PEA App and then pay through internet banking. Works well. Ages that I went to the PEA office. If all fails I can pay at 7/11, Lotus's etc. for a small fee. 1 hour ago, Crossy said: There are also websites that will create a valid Thai ID number out of thin air. I paid 200 baht to a girl in juristic office and she went to PEA and set up direct debit for me. Works perfectly Edit: I had to get a letter from Krungsi first and then she dealt with PEA Edited December 7, 2022 by aussiexpat 2

There's many domestic payment websites. My Thai DIL is the family accountant. No matter what bill / new bill / one off bill, she can find a quick easy way to pay online. A few months ago my son was having difficulty to pay for a VietJet air ticket on their site. His wife wrote down some details then a minute later said to him 'transfer xxxxBaht to me quickly' which he did. Half a minute later a receipt and booking confirmation from Vietjet in son's e.mail Edited December 7, 2022 by scorecard
Popular Post delboy
I pay my PEA bill by Credit Card using Easybills. They charge 8 baht service fee. https://www.easybills.in.th Scroll down and click on Pay Your Bill Now. Scroll down and click on Provincial Electricity Authority. Enter your "Contract Acct" This can be found at the top of your electricity bill as "C/A Ref. No.1" When you hit the "Next" button the amount of the bill will be displayed, enter C/C details to pay. They send a receipt by e-mail. I've been paying this way for over a year now with no problems.
