Interesting observation,American Bullies were bred for one purpose,it is a relatively new breed and the aim was to create a dog with absolutely no

natural aggression towards people.

We have one of those now and he weighs in around 45 kilos.

Absolutely non aggressive towards people and or animals.

Before this one we had a real Pitbull,much smaller but always ready for action.

Aloof to new people but never showed any aggression towards them.

I am however convinced that he would bite in a flash if people tried to control him or create a problem.

He saved a life but it did cost him his own,he was a dog for experienced

handlers only and when he died i decided i did not want another one like that.

The dog we have now looks the part but he is very docile and no trace of

aggression.

So to sensationalise a story any one of those dogs/breeds can and are labeled 'Pit Bulls'. Hence why Pit Bull attacks are reportedly high. It's all siht (anagram) to keep blaming a Pit Bull when basically it could one of at least 3 breeds. But there again a 'Staffie' dog attack doesn't attract readers. So.........   

It does not matter what label you use, it is the same breed of animal.

 

They are in the Thai news at least once a week for killing or injuring men, women and children of all ages.

 

It does not matter how many owners on this forum protest how lovely, cuddly and friendly their pit bull and the variations are, or how careful the owners are, it only takes a second or two for the lovely, cuddly and friendly  pit bull into a killing animal.

 

The response will most likely be, as in Thailand, well my dog has never done that before.

 

A fairly simple question for their owners

 

Why do you NEED to have a pit bull or the variations?

It's unbelievable that anyone is even contemplating keeping the three of them alive! I am a dog lover but once a dog has killed, it's hard to think of any reason why they should be kept alive. The article says a lot about Thai people - no one helped, 'great neighbour who will pay for funeral expenses, didn't investigate the screams because the victim had pain from health issues etc. Just sit in your cocoon of safety and ignorance and let violence erupt around you. 80% of the dogs mentioned I've never heard of before. They have 'Pit Bull' but 'Pit Bull' is not a breed in itself.
