Popular Post LosLobo
Watched the Boston Strangler last night starring one of my favourite actors Keira Knightley. I never knew much about the case previously as I was in my teens when it happened. I found this movie interesting and a good watch. Natasha Lyonne is awesome, guest star list is beyond incredible. 10/10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4x2NzusLAqk Loved it - TGF called it 'The <deleted> Lady'. Watched 'Marlowe' last night - What a waste of Neeson! Convoluted & pretentious; I have downloaded ALL the Chandler books & their style demands simplicity. Love Christoph Waltz but he's currently starring in 2 series which are bizarre.

Actually there is very little gay content in the film and in my view it didn't feel overly long by even a second. I know what you mean about long films. I usually prefer 90 minutes or so but in case where your attention is fully engaged it doesn't matter if much longer. I liked the opening male model scene (it conveyed a humorous and probably true theme about cheap fashion vs luxury consumer items) but I don’t think not liking it would necessarily translate to not liking the movie. It was hardly pornographic or even titillating so I find your negative reaction to it odd. Edited March 21, 2023 by Jingthing

Popular Post LosLobo
I watch the last episode of Season Two of the Mayor of Kingston last night. I found Season One excellent. But Season Two became a bit tedious and disappointing after the initial series. The final episode was action-packed and enjoyable. If there is a Season 3 which I doubt, I will not be holding my breath in anticipation. Edited March 22, 2023 by LosLobo 2

Well up.to you but the film is a SATIRE and often satire doesn’t play like less sophisticated laugh out loud comedy. It's a head laugh. I do strongly defend the movie. It's award winning and the cliffhanger ending will have you searching online for clues. Also to note the South African actress that played the strikingly beautiful female model character Charlbi Dean has tragically died of a sudden illness. And satire is ok but when a movie depends upon it and plays it out to the "n-th" degree then IMO it can become tiresome .

mikebell
This thread is the best thing on MediaAsia. Many thanks to the contributors who have massively enhanced my viewing. Perhaps the best recommendation for me was 'Get Shorty'; 3 series, every episode a joy. It also drew me to 'The IT Crowd' - another O'Dowd classic. (5 series of laugh-a-minute workplace comedy.) Watched 'Otto' last night - Tom Hanks - loved it. I'd like to recommend Bob Odenkirk's latest but I can't; it's set on an American campus with limited appeal & even episode 1 is loaded with Wokism - his Faculty has every type of necessary characters. I'm quite enjoying 'The Company You Keep' glossy tho' a copy of 'Tulsa King's central relationship of Cop lady enjoying bad-boy affair. Perry Mason S2 (can't find S1) has stumbled on a woke theme with a completely anachronistic lesbian relationship. Enjoying 'The Undeclared War' till episode 3 when a vegetarian, non-smoking, strict Muslim girl suddenly downs a beer and discovers she is a closet lesbian - I didn't see that coming! 1 1

biervoormij
I just finished watching the first season of 1923 and wondered what other people thought of this series? I found the big cat attack scenes in Africa funny. I don't think they spent much on those special affects. I have read that there is going to be another Yellowstone prequel 1944 coming next year. Popular Post Seppius
I loved this, very well done and acted https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14379784/ A woman keeps waking up every night at exactly 3.33 AM, in the middle of the so-called devil's hour between 3AM and 4AM, for seemingly no reason. A social worker and a mother to her strangely detached son Isaac, Lucy Chambers keeps getting deja-vu, and visions of things that have never happened. At the same time, police are investigating a seemingly random chain of murders that somehow connect to Lucy and her son Isaac.
