Thai motorbike rider dies after Russian man crashes his car into him in Rawai

Chalong – A Thai motorbike rider died after a car with a Russian driver crashed into him in Rawai.


The Chalong Police told the Phuket Express that they were notified of the accident at 9:40 P.M. last night (December 28th) on the Patak Road in Rawai.

 

Police, emergency responders and the Phuket Express arrived at the scene to find the damaged black car on the road. The driver, Mr. Igor Chub, 51, a Russian national, was waiting at the scene for relevant officials.

From what I understand, Russian prisoners are sent to the front lines.........extended freedom for a short while anyway........????

With the complete lack of detail/witnesses statement it's not ok to easily put the blame on Igor. If you know how motorcycle riders are behaving, lighting etc.

 

The new order of not naming nationality of foreigners hasn't made it to Phuket yet ????

The witnesses state the car crashed into the motorbike.

If you look at the pictures (in the article) you see the back of a Thai motorcycle destroyed and the front of a car. So the most likely explanation is the Russian hit the Thai from behind.
