Phachorn, 40, from Nan, northern Thailand had just parked his Toyota to stop for some roadside noodles yesterday evening.

He joined a motorcycle rider who had parked his Honda and was looking forward to a bite to eat also.

Just inches from where they were eating came a loud noise.

Pornsak, 40, from Roi-Et had failed to negotiate the bend at Wat Pang Kha, Nan, in his Fortuner.

He had piled into the back of the Toyota and this had toppled the Honda.

Both noodle diners were fine as was Pornsak in the Fortuner.

He offered to pay for their damaged vehicles. His own was a write-off.

The Muang Nan police were taking pictures for evidentiary purposes as they decided what to do in the case, reported Thai Rath.

Danger is everywhere in Thailand.... Not even safe to eat in streetrestaurant... It is not the first time and surely will not be the last that these things happen. Luckily no victims

Offering to pay and actually paying are two different things.

Normally the insurance company would take care of that.

When I read the headline I thought is was the noodles that almost killed them. Not a car.

Assuming that he's insured and has a driver's licence.

Looking at the front of the Fortuner I can see why he lost control on the bend.

Police: what to do, what to do?   Hmmm....charge driver with interrupting noodle meal?  Excessive noise from the crash?  (Pass us the brown envelope and we'll call it a day.)

Did they do a roadside breath and purple strip test?

Read the headline and thought maybe that a electric wire fell down on them while they were eating and were shocked in the process.  Then I read the article only to find out the shock was from an accident......

I Thought there was a Python on the mooch for their Noodles....

Wasn't Roi-et attributed with the most drunk driving arrests accolade during the holidays?

Did that shock you then?

Deciding what to do with the case....decisions, decisions, decisions. And old mate deciding to pay for everyone's damage. So he either wasn't insured or he knew that any insurance claim would fail, I wonder why. In a place where the scales of justice are used to weigh the contents of the brown envelopes, which thereafter determine the extent of ones guilt and whether the case should be pursued.
