Yeah, I was wondering about that...not sure how much a 3 baht weight gold necklace or a hermes bracelet adds up to. Maybe the amulet was valuable. 1

Emdog Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 Of course it doesn't add up to 10 million. The list is what was recovered from the condo.... where the rest went will be the fun part of investigation 1

richard_smith237 Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 Not on that list is the Diamond encrusted Rolex that was also stolen... As usual, the article is very poorly written and absent of facts to round off the article. 1
Boyn Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 So this guy is walking around wearing stuff thats worth more than my house and truck! and he puts it in a gym locker? why do stories here never seem to ring quite true? 1
billd766 Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 The Phra Somdej amulet, IF it is genuine, As of 2013, a Phra Somdej Chitralada is worth at least two million baht. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thai_Buddha_amulet Phra Somdej Chitralada are the amulets made by King Bhumibol himself and awarded from 1965 to 1970 to selected soldiers, policemen, government officers, and citizens.[9] No more than 3,000 of these amulets were made. Each amulet is accompanied with certificate stating the name of the recipient, date, and amulet number. It is quite a rare amulet and the value given is nearly 10 years old. The value of such an amulet does not of course reflect the price paid for it, which is how much the buyer is prepared to pay, and if it is accompanied with certificate stating the name of the recipient, date, and amulet number.
BusyB Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 What a ridiculous amount of loot to be putting in a gym locker.
