So, what is more silly, just because it´s 5 or 2 500 days? You still know you need a valid visa in Thailand, right?

Big nothing in my book.

Up to you what you think.

OK, once you brought him to the gallows for the public to spit and throw manure at random, you might want to continue the good work by nailing down all those rich kids murdering police officers on duty - the Red Bull darling springs to mind!

What a farçe, five officers in full gear .......... throw him out of the country and, if it pleases their semi-divine ego, ban him for life but - for heaven's sake - stop pretending that anyone is doing a job in the interest of people and country!

There are quite a few travellers who just are not the full ticket and should stay at home. Fair play to this guy but he's learnt the hard way that there rules and they must be followed. No mention in the op or full story as to whether he was entitled to an extension or if he had used all easy options already. Guess he won't be back in Thailand for a while. Sod going back to the UK winter right now.

5 goons on one guy for a 25 day overstay.

You make yourself look very silly some times immigration.

They don't look half as silly as the goon Briton who overstayed.

Took 5 to catch an AWAL holiday maker.
We can all sleep sound in our beds now.

It's more likely that it didn't "take five" to catch him, much more likely that they were all doing their job patrolling when they bumped into him appearing furtive.

Prostitution, drugs, people smuggling, corruption, murder, serious traffic violation, and a host of other crimes go missed but Johnny from Essex has been caught on a holiday bender so its all OK.

None of those offences that you specify have "gone unnoticed", nor not dealt with, they are reported frequently.
