Phuket – A bag with a passport and various credit and identification cards have been returned to an American tourist in Phuket on time just before leaving the country.

The Phuket Tourist Police told the Phuket Express that on Sunday (January 29th) at about 7:30 P.M. Mr. Edward Freitas, 29, American national, got in a taxi in Phuket Old Town before getting off at the Bang Naew Intersection in Phuket Town.

Mr. Freitas forgot his bag which had his passport and various cards in the taxi. He could not remember the taxi number plate.

Is it such a rare event when someone gets their belongings returned to them that it makes the news each time it happens ????

I'm happy to see reports like this in a newspaper.  It is a nice change rather than biased opinions or reports of crime. It was probably a slow news day and space in the page needed to be filled. Such an article gives everyone a break and a chance to turn off their cynic dial if they so choose.

Perhaps tourists leaving stuff in a taxi is a rare event in itself.

hmm..... the ‘Quantum Mechanics approach’ to the discussion....

.... Until a bag is lost and found it exists in a state of both not being lost and not being found until it is lost, then found and reported on !! :whistling:
