Bank Card...

Featured Replies

I want to pay for a Laos E-Visa online, but the only card I have is a Bangkok Bank Be 1st with UnionPay.

Had to go to the bank today, so I asked if I could use it, but sadly today no English speaker but the drift I got was "No".

I booked a hotel in Laos with it as a deposit with no probs, so a bit confused.

Can someone advise, please....:stoner:

You should have gotten the Bangkok Bank ,Mastercard , the UnionPay is a Chinese card ,

and not as widely accepted, maybe change cards.

Have you tried it?

No, the E-visa application info has nothing on payment, I must go through the application thing till the end to pay, I don't want to apply just yet, just wanted to see if this card will work via one of you that has used it outside of LOS, in Laos.......☺️

Invite your buddy over, the one with a lot of credit cards.  Feed him a beer while you complete the application and if your card does not work use one of his.

Yep you can ask your Branch to get rid of the UnionPay one and get the Mastercard version. I still have no idea why they changed it to UnionPay but my guess ????
