transam
I want to pay for a Laos E-Visa online, but the only card I have is a Bangkok Bank Be 1st with UnionPay. Had to go to the bank today, so I asked if I could use it, but sadly today no English speaker but the drift I got was "No". I booked a hotel in Laos with it as a deposit with no probs, so a bit confused. Can someone advise, please....

Popular Post worgeordie
You should have gotten the Bangkok Bank ,Mastercard , the UnionPay is a Chinese card , and not as widely accepted, maybe change cards. regards worgeordie

No, the E-visa application info has nothing on payment, I must go through the application thing till the end to pay, I don't want to apply just yet, just wanted to see if this card will work via one of you that has used it outside of LOS, in Laos.......☺️
Dante99
Invite your buddy over, the one with a lot of credit cards. Feed him a beer while you complete the application and if your card does not work use one of his.

I still have no idea why they changed it to UnionPay but my guess ???? https://www.bangkokbank.com/en/Personal/Cards/Be1st-Smart-Card/Be1st-Smart-TPN-Mastercard
