And just how many examples of the above do you reckon there are in Thailand? Just how many more tragedies waiting to happen because of "not bad people"?  

 

Personally, I think that Pit Bulls should be banned, but  some people think that owners should have a licence for this breed. To own a gun legally in this country you have to have a licence  and how many of  those are illegally owned throughout the country? Licensing is obviously not the answer, and I am sick of hearing that they are very friendly, affectionate dogs if looked after correctly. They are huge, unpredictable animals that were originally bred to KILL, and unfortunately, they seem to be doing so on a regular basis, with little or no provocation, but it's not bulls that they are killing! 

Incidentally, regarding your statement that "Pit Bull attacks are less frequent than those by other breeds", I asked the question on Google - "Which breed of dog attacks humans most frequently?" Here is the answer:-   "Pit bull. No dog breed has a more ferocious reputation than the pit bull, being recognized as the most aggressive dog breed. According to Canine Journal (an organization that collects and analyzes dog bite attacks in the United States), Pit bull attacks are responsible for the deaths of 185 people in the last ten years ..."

cue the it's the owner not the dog and my little sweet pit is so cute he wouldn't hurt anyone crowd....

 

then wait a few days and read another story very similar to this one.....admittedly this is one of the worst of the worst but once again it's a pit bull whose bite strength makes it a natural killer once whatever it is that sets it off good luck stopping an attack....and the dog obviously does not care if its the owner or a stranger a man or woman another dog or a kids whose guts it is ripping out...i feel sorry for all involved  that have been terrorized and attacked and even killed by this "sweet little doggie"

Where does it say I allow it to 'sit on the furniture'? She jumped on the chair when we weren't looking. As a good owner she didn't remain there longer than it took to take the picture. Nice try nchuckle

Sounds just like the one i pass on my walk too.These dogs aren't pets and in the UK and i presume in a lot of countries they are usually owned by empty-headed would be tough guys.

I watched a programme on TV recently about the lengths people will go to to breed these types of dogs in the UK to circumvent the law.  Some of them were drug dealers and other assorted violent criminals ????.  They sell them for huge amounts of money and the transaction is usually done down the local pub.

All for the sake of saving money. 11 Pit Bulls were able to be trained. So obviously, some are trainable.

The problem is to eliminate those Pit Bulls that have the instinct of biting and shaking whatever they were able to grab, and render someone handicapped.

Does not happen with German Shepherds. Which simply bite, and hold, without causing damage.

So how could these 11 Pit Bulls, saved from euthanasia perhaps, compensate for all these people, many of which children, were injured by so many Pit Bulls.

Just look at the pictures of injured people. from Pit Bull compared to German Shepherds.

I hope it does not happen to members of your family.

Yes we have a Bully who looks like a pitbull but genetically he is totally different.

 

 

 

The Pitbull is a banned breed in the UK but the XL Bully is not.  Guess which breed is now killing children and adults, including their owners?  ☹️

Darwin was right. The theory of natural selection, means we all have to exhibit certain survival skills, to thrive in this world. Self protection is just one of those skills. Some have it, some do not. Those who do not are prey for pitbulls and other similarly horrendous creatures, who some mistake as house pets. 

 

When a dog attacks one person, one time, it should be put down immediately, without hesitation. When you keep a dog that continues to attack people, and you end up getting mauled to death by your savage beast, you will likely receive little sympathy from this peanut gallery.
