Well I went with my wife to the passport office yesterday and then to Wat Pa Thamma Utthayan just to the north. Then we went to the restaurant next to the Kosa Hotel. 

I never noticed anything

No it wouldn't be that. The Matrix isn't at least 51% owned by Thais so it's not allowed
