Americans and Australians  who keep shouting at other people to give the land back get furious when you mention American Indians and Aborigines

The Americans get all old fashioned when discussion moves to Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rica as well!

Absolutely! 1690 being the last decade of the 17th Century. Portuguese 'discovery' of the Falklands first appeared on their maps in 1522.

Seems Google is now your friend.......

The French helped out with a few Exocet missiles last time....????

Unfortunately, we were on the receiving end! I once knew a guy who worked at Marconi Torpedos. He told me they would sell to anyone but deliberately left out some circuitry so that they couldn't be used against us.

Have to hand it to the Portuguese. Great on discoveries, building and business and held onto their colonies (which were worth holding onto) longer than we did.

The MOD spend years on the design of installing refuelling pods for Hercs. When it kicked off it was done and dusted in weeks.

That is one government. Not successive.

Also, as I pointed out earlier, your original post didn't give the full story.

I believe, with no proof to back your claim, your original post is an unsubstantiated.

I’ve pointed you in the direction of a book you obviously haven’t read.

I suggest you do so,

But, does nationality really matter? It is a remnant of a colonial past which should be enough to let it go ya silly empirist.

Totally do not understand this reply. If you are referring to China projecting soft power, please let me know the offshore properties they have kept for hundreds of years.

No. Y'all are not the only colonial power trying to hang on to a distant past. I dislike all colonial remnants irrespective of country.

Where  did the native Indians in Canada come from ?

Wherever they came from, they should go back home again , I think that they came from Mongolia
