"No more dating apps for me" - 'pretty woman' goes to the police after "luk khrueng" left her bitten and bruised in violent sex

Sanook reported on the case of a 28 year old Thai lady who they called a pretty woman.

 

"A" had been charmed by the sweet words of a "look khreung" - a 22 year old man called 'Micky' who is of mixed Indian and US parentage.

 

They met via a dating app and chatted from March 1st.

 

He came to her room on Sunday and they had what turned out to be a violent sexual encounter.

 

"A" was bitten including on her vagina and suffered extensive bruising.

Micky told her not to go to the police as "the cops would not be able to handle me".

 

While he was sleeping she sneaked out and went to the Rattanathibet police to report the matter.

 

She told the media that she would not be going on a dating app site again and falling for "paak waan" (sweet mouth) lies.

 

She advised other women not to do so either.

 

She intended to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.

She may be easily bruised or he's a total violent scumbag. I've only ever known a couple of girls to suffer very minor bruising during vigourous encounters, and not to the extent and areas she's been bruised. Looks more like battery assault in this case IMO.

These types of incidents need to be thoroughly investigated by the police. This guy's threat that she shouldn't go to the police suggests to me that this isn't the first time he's done this, and he had consciousness of guilt. The extent of the injuries also suggest that the violence of the attacks might well escalate in the future.

rape and sexual violence isn't always as well understood as it is in the west, she may have been too frightened to say stop or try to escape - unless she clearly understood and consented without fear then she probably did the right thing - there is no telling what this #### was capable of - it could easily have ended badly for her ...................... what she did was wait until he was sleeping and made an exit which IMO seems to have been the right thing to do

Consensual sex has limits.  This appears to have gone beyond the limits.   That is unless she wanted to be bit?

I recall the Scottish girl that was murdered by her Tinder date in New Zealand a few years back. There was solid evidence presented at the trial that she, like many other women, was into BDSM so not averse to a bit of roughness. There was also an opinion presented in evidence from some of the guy's previous dates that "he was going to hurt someone".

 

The UK had already legislated against the 'rough sex' defence and I believe New Zealand may now have done that as well by now? Either way, I'm not at all sure of any aspects of Thai law with regard to this guy's actions.

Apart from that I find it fascinating how many people think dating apps are a good idea to find sex partners.

There was a time when people meet other people in the real world. They had mutual friends or co-workers or frequented the same places. And then they got to know each other and then, normally some time later, maybe they had sex.
