If I die before my wife, does she automatically inherit my motorbike. It is in my name and my wife is obviously my next of kin, so do I need to do anything? Obviously her name would need to go into the green book.

Yes. Motorbikes are not special in terms of inheritance. And if you bought it during marriage then it's probably considered marital property anyways. No need to do anything. After your death your wife can transfer the green book into her name with the proper documentation.

Yes, I would do the green book thing now. What I've heard, it is not as easy as it sounds and will take some time (months ?) and effort for your wife to do it.

It's not fair, you should be able to take it with you especially if her feet don't touch the ground.

There is also the chance she won't want it after the crash.
