I use to sit around MBK, drinking iced coffee and watching the girls from the uni stroll by.  Lovely time.

Yes, that's it. It's common to do that in Thailand when taking photographs, especially group photos. They often say "Little heart" to let everyone know what to do before taking the photo.

No, university students are not generally referred to as "school girls", they are two very different categories.  If you don't know the difference, well...
