Make it 10-20 million would result in many Thai families losing the ATM as most could never afford that. Would anyone that could afford that much even want to live in Thailand? I doubt it. IMO they'd live in Singapore or Dubai, places with decent infrastructure and no burning pollution.
Soooo, the larger economic punch turns into family disaster and not much money at all.
Historically, the kmt wanted one country one system with it at the head of it. Nowadays, in response to the political reality that most Taiwanese don't desire reunification, it's placed a new emphasis on defense. If the kmt seriously supported a path leading toreunification, it would cease to exist as a serious political party in Taiwan
