Fine wire fuse (for UPS) in Pattaya

Recommended Posts

The first of two fuses of a UPS has triggered (4A, the ones in the glass tube with fine wire).

Supplied replacement works.

But would still be better to have a spare.

Anybody knows where to get in Pattaya?

I ordered off AliExpress but bet Lazada carry them too.

The electrical shop on North Rd just down from the Bus Station might carry them.

The big hardware/DIY stores should have them, I've bought them there before in places like Thai Watsadu or Home Pro. I've bought them in packs of five fuses, as you say, it never hurts to have a few spares around the place. Be careful what you buy, though, as they look pretty much the same but have different amp ratings.

I think you know that an RCD does not replace a fuse.

Sounds like the term "fine wire fuse" is misunderstood?

Does "glass wire" hit the nail?

Nothing to do with household circuit breakers.

Surprise. Found a near match at HomePro on Sukhumvit.

They have 5 A, 10 A and 15 A (longer cylinder).

5 A is not 4 A but I think the device would survive.
