Teen serial thief chooses the wrong car to steal - it belonged to a former Labour Minister - he's nabbed in NE

Serial thief - even at the age of 19 - Natthawut from Bung Kan in the NE of Thailand chose the wrong car and cash to steal from a gas station in Nakhon Pathom province in central Thailand on Friday.

 

It belonged to former labour Minister Phadermchai Sasomsap an MP for Nakhon Pathom.

Natthawut sneaked into an office and pinched 700,000 baht that was lying in a drawer and lifted the keys to a Volvo 360 D4 that were hanging on the wall.

 

He then drove off in the car and headed for Bangkok then Khon Kaen.

 

Deputy provincial Nakhon Pathom chief Pol Col Phallop Suriyakun said that with the help of the Highway Police the suspect was soon traced to another gas station on Non Sa-at sub district of Unon Thani.

Natthawut was arrested at the PTT station with 448,247 baht of the money remaining.

 

He'd bought several phones, a G-Shock watch and a Samsonite case.

He was charged with trespass and theft.

 

He said that he had decided to drive home to Bung Kan after the theft. On the way he stopped in a luxury hotel for the night, reported Thai Rath.

 

He also bought himself a beauty treatment.

 

He said he didn't have any money and did a wai in apology to society.

 

It was discovered that he had 4 warrants involving ten cases of thefts against his name in Nakhon Pathom, Ratchaburi and Bangkok.

Ah bless him, poor kid. Don't steal from a Pu-Yai the RTP don't like that, if he just stole from normal folks, he could still be free. :unsure::coffee1:

Steals half a million baht and buys a Casio. Epic!

 

PS: I just got a renewed admiration for this company after Shakira split with her hubby.

Are they saying that if the car belonged to a nobody, the police would not have bothered to investigate?
