Top lawyer Sittha Biabangkerd, on Thursday, visited the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) Central Investigation Police Reporting Center on the Phaholyothin Road in the Chatuchak area of Bangkok at 5 pm and stayed until 7.30 pm approximately. It followed a visit between Mr Chuwit Kamolvisit and Police Lieutenant General Jiraphat Phuridet on Tuesday which is to be followed by a visit on Friday where the anti-corruption activist will hand over ฿6 million in cash, an attempted bribe paid to him in early February which he had originally donated to charity.

Over the last six weeks, Mr Chuwit’s anti-corruption crusade has moved on to politics and his attacks on the Bhumjaithai Party which he has labelled the ‘Mad Marijuana Party’ have led to fears that his campaign has become divisive. He is reported to have been very disturbed by the attempt to discredit him and his campaign by whoever was behind the cash payment made at his hotel in Sukhumvit by two as yet unidentified men.

Top lawyer Sittha Biabangkerd reported to the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) in Bangkok on Thursday after, earlier this week, Mr Chuwit Kamolvisit met the police division chief Police Lieutenant General Jiraphat Phuridet and offered to turn over ฿6 million purportedly paid to him in early February in an attempted bribe for his silence.

The money, in cash, was contained in two paper bags delivered to his hotel in the Sukhumvit area of the city. Mr Chuwit subsequently, within days, donated the money to two Bangkok hospitals who later returned it after Mr Sittha gave a press conference exposing the cash payments. Mr Chuwit, who claims the attempted bribe was an effort to discredit him and his whistleblowing activism, has now tasked the police with tracing the source and origins of the money.

That might prove difficult.

I keep saying it, Chuwit and Thaksin combined against weed will bring down a firestorm on those who tried to follow the law and registered for growing weed legitimately. Somehow it seems like these two are colluding in an inconspicuous way and I wouldn't be surprised if many of the denunciations made by Chuwit were orchestrated by both him and Thaksin. Remember, Thaksin was ranked fairly high up in the RTP before going into politics and trade. Interestingly enough most of Chuwit's rants were about the police before he moved on to marijuana.

Who better to leak information to Chuwit about the police than a billionaire who can buy the information from disgruntled old friends who are still on the force? It would be interesting to see what was the relationship between those who got denounced for corruption and Thaksin. Chuwit is a populist and he is playing along with Thaksin's populist ideology and it is winning. I can't foresee any good coming from this coming election as everything seems in tatters right now. The red shirts are coming... the red shirts are coming....   ????

Chuwit had an epic fail with the Chinese Mafia "incidents" as Big Joke has "decided" not to press forward on the Tu Hao and Yu Xin Qi "cases".

Chuwit is losing steam so he needs some sort of big "win".
