Chinese trio held and facing a heightened prospect of execution for a horrific murder in Thailand

National Police Commissioner General Damrongsak Kittiprapas on Tuesday confirmed the arrest of the three Chinese suspects who fled the kingdom on March 30th following the heinous murder of Chinese student Jin Can on March 28th and 29th last in Nonthaburi. He revealed that Thai and Chinese police forces were now pursuing a joint investigation and that the accused would stand trial in China where they faced a sharply heightened prospect of being executed if found guilty of murdering the young Chinese woman. The three accused are (from left) 23-year-old Zhou Xiongfei, 23-year-old Chen Saikan and 24-year-old Zhou Pengfei.

Crime now looks like it was not primarily a kidnapping but a love affair that turned sour when the victim spurned the advances of one of the Chinese men. A fourth suspect, being held in Thailand, a Thai woman who befriended and facilitated the gang of three, may also have witnessed the sadistic torture and murder of the young Chinese student in the Bang Yai district of Nonthaburi on March 28th and March 29th last, say police.

Three men accused of the sadistic torture and murder of Chinese student Jin Can are in the custody of Chinese police after being arrested in the last 24 hours in Wuhan, China according to Thai national police chief General Damrongsak Kittiprapas. On Tuesday, he confirmed that the suspects would not be extradited to Thailand but would face a joint investigation and trial before a Chinese court with the prospect of them facing the death penalty or execution for the outrage they committed in Thailand having now risen sharply.

Thailand’s National Police Commissioner General Damrongsak Kittiprapas revealed on Tuesday that police in China have already arrested three men accused of murdering Chinese student Jin Can on March 28th last in Nonthaburi in a case that has shocked the kingdom.

I must have missed the part where they explain the real motive, what exactly was it again if not to get the money?

This is the part you missed:

Surachate also said that the boyfriend tried to have a relationship with the victim, but she declined. So, he went back to the bar girl for ideas about what to do with the Jin Can. He claimed that the Thai bar girl suggested that they kill the Chinese student.

So, not much different to what Thais do if a woman refuses them. Must be an Asian thing. Certainly, losing face isn't limited to Thailand.

Hope you’re not buying this coverup. How often a scorned lover involves two other guys and a stranger to take revenge on this manner? Chinese authorities taken over and will handle it themselves.
To me it sounds like a mafia style business with links to government people that got out of hand. The three Chinese were probably gun for hire and as collateral will be disposed of with no access to outsiders so they rat anyone high up.

Not forgetting to throw in a little torture. If true, that alone should keep them locked up for a long time.

Sick f****.

How long were these Chinese in Thailand? Maybe they had Chinese associates. Maybe the love angle was only a pretense to capture the victim for ransom.

Ransome definitely sounds more likely.  Then when they saw the relationship angle they thought they could sell that to put people off the scent of Chinese organised crime.

I mean, he followed her to Thailand with two friends to ask her out, then when she said no they kidnapped, tortured and killed her?

CPC stands for Cost-Per-Click. CCP stands for Chinese Communist Party, so who's right here do you think?

They do not hang criminals in China, nor do they use the bullet in the Head anymore. (mentioned earlier). It's death by lethal injection there now.
