MotoGP & IOM.

Featured Replies

With MotoGP coming to Thailand I will not be going to the track I'll watch on Utube.

All bikes and riders seem pretty even these days which brings close racing and changes for many laps.

Ducati seem to be doing well at the IOM and MotoGp.

Good to see many more manufacturers in MotoGp as well.

I like to see rules relaxed and all the manufacturers just do whatever they like to there bikes I think it would make it much more interesting.

Closest I'll ever get to IOM is my bank account???? But the guy I always speak with said I may if I wish sleep on his couch during TT week.????

Yeah IOM very friendly people I always felt comfortable there, I've been IOM twice.

Shaked hands with many famous IOM Riders and all are dead now.

Knew two IOM riders when I lived in NZ, both from New Plymouth, Mike King (dnf) and Shaun Harris (two wins and numerous top ten finishes), both survived serious race-career ending accidents there.

Earlier this year read that the Ireland road races were unlikely to proceed due to the high cost of insurance to the organisers - brought about by the number of injuries and deaths.

Don't know of any updates to this, are they going ahead?

Hope this thread continues, I'm not so interested in MotoGP now but may go to Sepang again this year.

Anyone know when motogp tickets go on sale ?

IOM is on Utube always,  no tree huggers are are going to stop it.

The IOM rider guys are doing what they love to do, race.

MotoGP riders are in it for the money but that said probably are not allowed to race in IOM.

2003 – BACK ON TRACK

New Zealander Bruce Anstey sent a resounding message to the racing world when his Triumph Daytona 600 romped to first place in the 2003 Junior TT, finishing 10.96 seconds ahead of his nearest rival and recording the fastest Supersport TT time of 1:15.13.98.

He was joined in the top 10 by two other Triumph ValMoto teammates.

After a 28-year absence, Triumph was back.

Yes it's amazing how much MotoGP has become popular with many in Thailand.

Myself been to many MotoGp meetings back in my prime time.

To watch live at the course here in Thailand unless it was at night like Qatar I prefer to watch on TV the atmosphere of being there is great but you get to see more on TV than you ever do at the track.

Yes Ducati have done well after Honda and Yamaha years of dominance and it's good to see other manufacturers catching up like Suzuki and KTM.

Honda still up there. ????

It seems to me there is so much advanced technology on MotoGp bikes these days that depending on track and rider anyone is capable of a good placing.

Typo earlier confused myself by putting Ducati instead of BMW who has done well at the IOM.

Ducati are planning to go back to IOM reading somewhere.

BMW like Kawasaki choose to stay out of MotoGp.

Manufactures for the 2023 season...

Aprilia
Ducati
GASGAS
Honda
Yamaha
KTM

The only guy who can ride the Honda is Marc...and it wouldn't surprise me if he jumped to Ducati if Honda can't deliver the bike he wants this season

GasGas is KTM isn't it?? shame Suzuki isn't still there, they were up there.

With all the bike's it's just not tyres they have to gamble on, it's fuel limits as well,  the fuel rule should be dumped.

Would like to see what Marc could do on a Honda V5. ????

Always the same every year, I don't know why they have to leave it so late.

Have you noticed that also the hotels are sold out even before the race date is announced. Someone is getting insider info. We have to stay in Surin again.

FYI. The Malaysia GP is two weeks later, and the tickets have been available for some time already.
