Car air conditioner - Recharge gas.

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend a garage that can recharge the air con gas in a Honda City?

I think mine must have a slow leak and I was hoping to find somewhere closer to Bangrak that having to drive all the way to Honda Lipa noi.

TIA

Open Google maps. It will show your location

Type Auto repair.

Chose one.

There was a place on the ring road before Maenam.

A couple of hundred meters before where Dan Autos used to be. Same side of the road (right side going to Maenam from Bophut).

I do not know if it survived Covid though. Sorry.

E.g. this one looks fairly decent:

Open link to see street view.

"Rungroj Air and Sound".

Down south from Bangrak on the ring road (4169) on the right side, 250 m before Chaweng Post Office.

Hope this one still exists

One frequently seen sign on Thai roadside.

One nearer to Bangrak.

Small local garage on the road from Bangrak to Choengmon.

Coming from Bangrak, on the left just after the junction to Soi 4. 7/11 on the corner and then lots of cars parked on the road.

081 597 4181 is the number that I have. No idea of the name.

Is Dan Auto still open?

Last couple of times that I drove by, all shut up.

I presume – I said hello to khun Dan just a few weeks ago – but they close the workshop about 5 pm. There is also a Dan Auto in Nathon – khun Dan use to be there now, while his younger nephew takes care of the Maenam branch – but Nathon is further away from Bangrak...????

Is that the one next to the 7-11 on the left?

Opposite a Mini Big C?

Yes

I didn't know they did air con.

Thanks. That is pretty close to me.

Having a set of your own gauges is worthwhile. It's not hard at all to connect and get an idea of problems. Refill canisters on Lazada. You tube will guide you.

I passed yesterday (Saturday 8th) about 4:30 pm – they are indeed open...????

Get the entire system checked for leaks before recharging. If not, back to square one in a couple of days.

There is a place I always use, opposite the junction at Bandon Hospital and the Mookata. Nice lady, speaks good enough English to communicate wtih most.

Bquick or any other chain auto repair shop will be able to refill your gas or figure out the problem.

I've had a similar problem with my wife's Honda.  I find when it gets over 38 C or so her car struggles to keep cool.  Honda Jazz with it's large windshield seems to get really hot inside.

Also used this place, went shopping in BigC while they checked everything.

Unfortunately, I don't think we have any such chains in Samui.

There used to be one the other side of Nathon, in-between the two roundabouts, but I think that it closed during Covid.

Lots of places everywhere main dealer is not nessersary. I paid 500b for a recharge no leaks found.

Dan Auto are good and reliable.

They rebuilt an aircon system for me, so I guess they will top up too.

however they would also recommend someone if they can't do it.

they are here....

Is there a B-Quik on Samui?
