Best way to find second hand vehicle in Bangkok, car broker service?

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm in the market for second hand dial cab Hilux Revo

Model/specs I am chasing:

* Toyota Hilux Revo

* Around 2015 - 2020 (newer the better)

* Dual Cab

* 2.8L

* 4x4

* Automatic

* <150,000km (less kms the better)

* Clean accident history (or as clean as it can be in Thailand anyway)

Price <750,000thb (prefer to pay less for older/more kms, or ok to pay bit more for newer/less kms)

Bonus points for window tint, aftermarket wheels/4wd tyres, towbar/bullbar, canvas seatcovers

I have searched online one2car, and fb marketplace but results are hit and miss.

Is there a car broker service in Bangkok that could source what I am chasing?

In Australia there are many brokers that you can contact and they can find what you are after, and can buy at dealer auctions on your behalf, or source from network of caryards.  Anything like that here?

I'm aware of hidden problems with second hand cars in Thailand and would get a professional to thoroughly inspect prior to purchase.

Prefer not to buy new as don't want to spend $1Mthb+.

Thanks, will have a look at that site, there is a lot of variations of the revo, but prefer 2.8L, 4x4, auto

The range within your specification is massive, I suggest you need to narrow it down more precisely. I have a 2013 Vigo (Sportivo) 4 Door 2.5 auto that is 150k kms and pristine, I turned down 400k because I don't want to sell. I mention this to demonstrate the huge range of pricing across broadly similar vehicles and to show how older vehicles here retain their value.

Also, 2.8 Revo may not be the best bet and may be harder to sell, the performance increase vs the fuel mileage advantage don't make that a great bet.

Ended up finding what I wanted online for anyone following thread:

https://www.one2car.com/for-sale/toyota-hilux-revo-g-กรุงเทพและปริมณฑล-ศรีนครินทร์-เทพารักษ์/11038835?auc=true

It had a goo inspection done already and rated 5x stars (I also messaged goo inspection to confirm inspection was genuine and the copy they gave me was full version).

https://www.gooinspection.com/en/

Also I went to toyota service centre and gave them the VIN number and looked it up in their database, kms appear to be genuine and all services up to date.

Pick it up next week..

Now the fun stuff, wheels, window tint, etc

Just for future reference I found an auction sourcing broker in Thailand called Standard https://earnacar.co/auction-sourcing they are registered with the major car auctions you can tell them what you are looking for and they will find it from upcoming auctions. They will do everything for you. I bought a 2019 MG3 with less than 40,000km earlier this year with their service. The car is in real good condition it was a Kasikorn Leasing repo the bid was won for 216,000 baht then there was VAT the auction fee, a shipping fee and this broker fee. All in I got the car for 255,000 baht which was much much lower than what dealerships were asking for a similar MG in my area (at the time they were listed for 320,000 baht).
