Trump to sit down with CNN in implicit dig at Fox

Donald Trump has decided to consort with the enemy.

The ex-president will participate in a town hall event with CNN, a network he called “fake” and whose reporters he routinely chastised while serving in office.

The event, which will take place at New Hampshire’s Saint Anselm College next week, will mark a major moment in the intersection of politics and the media in the still nascent 2024 GOP primary. It also is the latest illustration of an aggressive media strategy that Trump’s team is adopting.

I wonder if most of the Trump supporters know how to change the channel on the TV.

I’d be surprised if it happens and if it does I hope they cut him off when he starts to lie

That's great news.

Viewers of CNN will hear more of his lies and will have more reasons not to vote for him.

And the right-wing crowd will be angry at him about being on CNN.

Win/win.

...and CNN can recover some of the ratings they lost since he left office. Trifecta!

Just make Florida man go away.

He's like drug resistant gonorrhea.

True that the year he was voted out was indeed CNN' highest ratings ever . Funny how facts matter.

Well, they were high since 2016. The constant wacko theories, conspiracies, made them a fortune. Then 2021, down 70%.  CNN needs to send The Donald a thank you card.   I can only guess they are secretly pushing for him to get the GOP nomination again.

I have yet to speak to any Independent or Democrats not wanting Trump to win the Republican primaries. Finally everyone is thinking as one voice.

I do not have any idea where you obtain your information from. Here are some links to show you even republicans as well as independents do not want him to run. Democrats on the other hand do and here is why:

https://freebeacon.com/politics/trump-2024/

Barry Goodman, a Democratic donor who served on Biden's national finance committee during the 2020 campaign, recently told the Washington Post that he and many other party donors are "praying that Trump runs." Because Trump is an existential threat to democracy, Goodman argued, American voters "are not going to put that despot in office one more time," no matter who Democrats nominate in 2024. If that sounds familiar, it's because some Democrats made the exact same argument in 2016.

more than six in 10 Americans do not want him to run in 2024, according to a new PBS NewsHour/NPR/Marist poll

“I’ll get to the polls and get everybody out to the polls too,” said Copeland, a 67-year-old retiree who said she was aghast at the possible return to office of the 45th president. “It’s very important that Trump does not get back in.”

Not at all convincing as I trust my conversations more than your links. We all can manufacture the truth to slants so we drill our opinions to light.

NBC News poll: Nearly 70% of GOP voters stand behind Trump ...

What a stupid comment.

Trump needs to be careful. CNN might ask him a hard question.

Asking hard questions isn't the problem.  It's getting Trump to actually answer and do so truthfully.

CNN:  Sir, should there be a federal mandate for abortions in the USA?

Trump:  The 2020 election was rigged.  I won in a landslide.

CNN:  Should the Russians pull out of Ukraine unconditionally?

Trump:  If I was President, Putin would never have invaded.

CNN:  Any comment regarding the debt ceiling debate?

Trump:  I built the greatest economy ever.  It's not even close.

CNN:  Do you view China as a threat?

Trump:  Xi is my buddy.  I love the guy.  He's among our greatest leaders, right up there with Putin and Kim Jong Un.

CNN:  Have you given any thought to a running mate?

Trump:  The 2020 election was so rigged.  And everyone knows it.

And so on....

It pales in comparison to most of your comments.

If I may take the liberty of editing what you posted:

No need to use the word lie, is is implicit.
