Khader Adnan was a senior figure in the militant group Islamic Jihad who Israel had charged with terrorism offences.

The Israel Prison Service said he had refused medical treatment before he was found unconscious in his cell on Tuesday.

Hours after his death, militants fired three rockets from the Gaza Strip towards Israel. No-one was hurt.

The Palestinian prime minister accused Israel of "deliberately assassinating" Adnan, while Islamic Jihad warned Israel that it would pay "the highest price".

Adnan, who was 45 and from the north of the occupied West Bank, had been in and out of detention by Isr

Good.  Hope it was excruciating.

If anything good can come out of this, perhaps a number of his fellow terrorists will starve themselves into martyrdom.

One terrorist less....

Whether or not he was a ‘terrorist’ is a matter of opinion.

It is however indisputable that he’s just become a martyr for his cause.

Islamic Jihad? Hardly the boy scouts. Look up his background. He was a terrorist. There isn't any question about that.

How can people , leaders of Countries make such a incorrect/wrong statement ?

Adnan died because he personally refused to eat any food , how on earth can anyone claim that he was "assassinated " ?
