Jai Dee
FTI Chairman says referendum results lead to more confidence amongst foreign investors Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), Santi Vilassakdanont (สันติ วิลาสศักดานนท์), expresses his belief that the referendum results will lead to more confidence amongst the private sector and foreign investors. Mr Santi reveals that Minister of Finance Chalongphob Sussangkarn (ฉลองภพ สุสังกร์กาญจน์) has called a meeting at 09.00 a.m. today (August, 20th) to exchange opinions and brainstorm the country’s overall financial system and to find measures to prevent financial risks. Attendants of the meeting include Governor of the Bank of Thailand, Tarisa Watanagase (ธาริษา วัฒนเกส), FTI, the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand, and financiers. The chairman says further that the economy since the end of this year to the second quarter of the next year will improve if the government arranges the general election as scheduled.
