Phuket – A motorbike taxi rider died after his motorbike collided with a minivan in the Mueang Phuket district.


The Phuket City Police were notified of the accident at 5:50 A.M. Saturday, May 13th, 2023, near an intersection on the Yaowarad Road in Sam Kong.

 

Emergency responders and the Phuket Express arrived at the scene to find the damaged motorbike lying on the road. Nearby was found the body of the motorbike taxi rider.

If one is to presume the mini-van stopped immediately at the scene of the accident it makes one wonder what the motorcycle rider was doing on the wrong side of the road?

Indeed - the headline is very misleading... 

..  The motorcycle rider didn’t die after colliding with a Mini van. 

... The motorcycle rider died after the speeding mini-van collided with him.

Indeed... I wonder whether a good helmet would have made a difference in this case.

 

There is on of those plastic lids on the floor in the photo in the linked article... but that doesn't mean he was wearing it, it possibly just ‘came out of the basket’.....

Most mini van drivrrs I know arelunaticmaniacs who shan't be allowed to drive any vehiclre. But TiT.
