Russia’s Kinzhal missile is not hypersonic. Nor is it invincible

When the Kremlin says something, it should always be taken with a grain of salt. When it says something about its military prowess, one should take the claim with an entire salt mine.

For years, Russia’s Kinzhal missile was portrayed by the Kremlin’s propaganda machine as an invincible, cutting-edge hypersonic weapon, symbolizing Russia’s supremacy in advanced military tech.

The realities of the battlefield, however, have shown the true capabilities of the missile, also known as Kh-47M2.

In other words, a hyperbolic missile.

It's war, it's propaganda war.

I am so sceptic to believe anything particularly from the directly involved parties.

On the other hand you might ask how Russia is capable of developing and producing such hightech. What civilian high tech products/industries do they have?
I read they best build 60 nm chips? Archaic compared to leading edge of 3 nm.

They depend on smuggling chips otherwise disassembling household devices to tear out the chips.

But maybe I fell for more propaganda...

I have read the article though I am not sure if I believe all of it.

Coming from the Ukraine I expect some bias.

OTOH I find ANY article coming from any Russian source to be 100% biased and simply propaganda.

Perhaps that is just me.

Sure not just you. I find it so hard to find trustful sources these days.

I agree but there is certainly some other sources to back this up:

3 scientists behind Putin's 'unstoppable' missiles were jailed on charges of treason. Russian researchers say they are now living in fear.

In an open letter Monday, members of Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of the Russian Academy of Sciences' Siberian Branch, which is based in Novosibirsk, said the arrests were having a chilling effect on research.

The weapons, often falsely described as hypersonic, are a type of advanced air-launched ballistic missile capable of carrying over a 1,000 pounds of explosives.

Russia has long described the Kinzhal as an unstoppable hypersonic weapon that it claims is capable of overcoming all known air defense systems.

Very little seems to work in the Russian military. Which is a blessing, considering just how war-mongering the Russian leadership is nowadays.
