Phuket – Phuket will be officially announced by the Department of Disease Control (DDC) as the first province in Thailand that is rabies free.

The Phuket Vice Governor Danai Sunantharod told the Phuket Express that the director general of the DDC Doctor Tanet Kratsanaitawiwong said they are successfully supporting Phuket as the first rabies free province in Thailand.

There are no recent deaths from rabies in the province after they have continued to prevent and control rabies disease in both animals and humans.

Speechless...

So are dogs going to be allowed onto the island from the mainland?

I was going to take my dog back to a rabies free country, Australia and was going to take 6 months and lots cash to do so.
