One message online! does not take much for the Trump haters to have a paranoid meltdown does it ????

If it was just one message online then it would not be as significant, but it is not, there are multiple links in this topic to the violent rhetoric been promoted. The security services are rightly planning for any eventuality.

We Need to Start Killing’: Trump’s Far-Right Supporters Are Threatening Civil War

Any intelligent person would look at the sentences handed down to the January 6 rioters, and take heed of where violence against legal authority leads.

Those that forget history are bound to repeat it.

I am looking forward to the time when a judge has had enough of Trump's incitements to his moronic base, and puts him in jail for contempt of court.

One can only hope that after Tuesdays court appearance, in Miami, that he is remanded into the custody of his secret service, placed on an ankle monitor, not allowed to leave from his home in Mara Lago, his passport taken, is planes grounded, and no guests allowed except for his legal defense team.  His family can have visitation with him but only under supervised conditions except of course his conjugal visit.  Any other person facing the same depth of charges would already be in custody and held without bail, or if out on bail would have the conditions I laid out above placed on them.  Yet Trump supporters insist that he should be treated differently just because he is the former POTUS.  One other thing that should happen is he should have a gag order placed upon him and his media platform mothballed until the case is settled.

So there is one nut job in the US (or maybe not in the US) who is promoting violence.  This may be a real 'Trump Supporter', or it may be agent-provocateur who claims to be a 'Trump Supporter.'

You really have to ask the question.  Who actually are those whom are advocating violence and civil discord?

Study history.  There is a real, immanent danger in engaging in this type of rhetoric.

I don't think the idea of 'agent provocateur' need be given much, if any, consideration. 6 January 2021 pretty much proved there is a sizable segment of trump supporters who 1) are gullible enough to believe anything the lying, self-serving traitor says, and 2) are prone to violence.

trump is well aware of what his goobers will do. That is why he continually blows the dog whistle to rile up the cult.

He called for them to come to DC for the 6 January election certification "It will be wild", was his Tweet. There was no purpose for anyone to come EXCEPT violence. He told them to 'take their country back' (sic) and to march to the Capitol. He spoke of his VP Pence 'doing the right thing", when by US law the right thing is a simple, pro forma certification of an election which each of the 50 States and US Territories already individually certified.

Now he is sending out new dog whistles on his "Truth" (sic#2) social platform, calling for them to come to Miami on Tuesday. That is equally transparent as his Tweets re 6 January.

The corrupt and immoral "crossfire hurricane" investigation that started this whole weaponized DOJ against Trump leading us to today is hardly Trump's own fault surely?

https://www.nationalreview.com/news/fbi-lacked-any-actual-evidence-of-collusion-between-trump-campaign-russia-when-crossfire-hurricane-launched-durham-finds/

Durham WAS a weaponization of the DoJ, just as the 'absolutely coincidental' IRS audits of Jim Comey and Andrew McCabe were weaponizations of the IRS. Crossfire Hurricane was the bureau doing what it must. It would have been a dereliction of duty NOT to open an investigation.

Your article claims 'lack of any actual evidence'. That is dead wrong and Durham's bias, and I point you to the 1000+ page report issued by the Republican-controlled SSCI back during trump's term, in which R members of SSCI noted a host of connections between the trump campaign and russia. I don't even need to suggest you read the statements and issuances of Dem congresspeople, as some might accuse them of bias. The Republicans were still the Senate majority when SSCI issued its report, and their report is as damning as anything the Dems might have issued.

Durham was goal-seeking in his 'investigation'. (Mods can pull this if they wish, but I have former CIA colleagues and one close family member in CIA who were interviewed by Durham and his team, and this is what they told me.) Neither Durham nor any members of his staff had any interest whatsoever in pursuing---or viewing the classified intel---on the manafort-konstantin kilimnik connection, the roger stone-wikileaks connection, or even viewing the SF86s of the members of trump's Administration who 'forgot' to note 140 different meetings with russian individuals during the campaign.

All defendants are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty. Would Trump be the first and only defendant to be treated in this way?

Because Swalwell says so? OMG.

Please. We had Trump openly brutally criticizing his first attorney general. Then Barr came along and launched an investigation to prove that members of the justice dept had conspired against Donald Trump despite a previous investigation by the IG concluding there was no such conspiracy. He was also castigated by a Federal judge for lying about the Mueller report.

The justice dept also investigated reporters who had criticized Trump.

Trump pressured AG Jeffries to fire Andrew McCable.

Look at the evidence. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck then its a duck.  The facts support the Indictment.  An innocent person in his position would not be put through such rigamarole. The grand jury found enough evidence to indict him, if a jury finds him innocent well that's a different issue all together.

Not just about 1 or 2 messages. The loon who nearly became governor of arizona gave a warning in which she claimed that the govt should think twice about prosecuting Trump because 75 million Americans are members of the NRA. Lots of right wing commentators are also engaging in vivid wishful speech about inflicting violence on their political enemies.

There are many stories out there which discuss the actual workings of DOJ under Trump. However, looking at it from the outside one can see that the rhetoric and tone Trump used and is still using set the country up for where it is today. Look at the Republicans in both houses.  What they are advocating, and what the OP discusses in many posts, is a violation of the 14th Amendment.  There is a post somewhere above which lays it all out for you as far as what they are inciting is an insurrection themselves and could be removed from office.

Yes, there are many stories out there. For months and years the most popular theme seems to have been anything which concerns the seemingly relentless political mission to vaporize Trump.

The "incitement" word has been used far too frequently and improperly since J6 as far as I can see.

Several recent house hearings seem to raise the question of actions of the DOJ and the FBI under the Biden Administration. But there seems very little news about that.

Could it be because there is no news, and no the law has not been weaponized, but is being applied as it would to anyone else?  Give that a thought

Plenty of news but these sources are not allowed on here I think.

Given the dubious quality of the witnesses' testimony, it would be surprising that they got any attention. But, in fact, there's been a massive amount of coverage. Which has proven kind of embarrassing for the Republicans. It's produced whistleblowers who offer opinons and no evidence but are subsidized by right wing politicans, a source who has apperently evaporated, a press conference which James Comey would prove Joe Biden was corrupt and even right wing Republicans criticized it for proving nothing at all, etc.

Trump has set the ball in motion for his own demise not anyone else.  The man had he been congenial and acted Presidential during his term, and not so in your face with tweeting day in and out nasty comments, and then backstabbing even his own folks would not have much of a worry.  Then had he done what was right by returning the requested documents, which he had taken, would not be in the position he is in today.

He has violated more laws than anyone who is already in jail, and yet he still stands on the outside.  HIs demeanor and the comments he made created the Jan 6th debacle, and almost cost his VP his life as well as others.  Many followed his lead and voice and look where that landed them......in prison, or are you trying to say they are innocent and it was just a mistake as they were invited in, told to put there feet up on Pelosi's desk, and destroy the rule of law.

fox news is not allowed? Funny. I link to it quite often and haven't had a problem.

Well that's about as non-specific as it gets.

OK  I'll try a couple later and see what survives the night.

Funny. For someone who claims that the topic is under covered, you don't seem to know much about what's actually been reported again and again.

Just be prepared to see Fox's dubious reporting and opinionating torn to shreds.

This is not a topic for discussing Jan 6th riots in detail. It will end up hijacking the thread so please stick to the OP from now on.
