If...IF...the "Technicians" who come to my house to "fix" things, and "fix" them, again, and again.: Why Can't They use a more expensive scent? Like, maybe.. Chanel N°5?

Featured Replies

Dear Friends,

Do you ever have the same experience?

You call a CHANG, a Tech Man, and he shows up wearing CHEAP cologne.

Worse, even, than Jade East!

It takes you hours and hours, after the technicians have left, to get rid of the stink.

I KNOW you know what I am talking about.

So, then, is there any solution to this?

Makes me want to upchuck every time I pay good money to get my stuff fixed inferiorly.

And then, of course, since they did not fix it right the first time, you gotta call them back again.

And, again.

Most of you guys who have never been here don't know.

When  I was young, I thought that JADE EAST was the worst.

My room mate loved Jade East.

Still, I must say, as did William Shakespeare......

"And in some perfumes there is more delight than in the breath that from my mistress reeks. I love to hear her speak, yet well I know that music hath a far more pleasing sound."

Let me just say that the tech guys here....REEKETH!

Such a great incentive to fix things oneself, if one can.

If one cannot, then just hold one's nose, perhaps.

This is not Manhattan.

Remind me, too, not to check out the technicians in Pattaya.

Thank you.

Regards,

Gamma

Note: Promise your tech guy anything...but...Give Him Chanel....

billy answered all your questions about this years ago....

I have a suggestion. Next time you are in Hong Kong, or Los Angeles, why don't you pick up 20 Chanel or similarly expensive items, and give them as gifts to the contractors who come to your home to make a 400 baht repair? It would be greatly appreciated, instead of asking them to spend a weeks wages themselves.

maybe not everyone is hiso like you or maybe cannot effort and buy like you...

totally a nonsense post i think..

EDIT: i had some people come to fix my things. including 3BB internet or some pipes. I will be very honest with you, some of them smell better than many farangs you can find at sukhumvit or pattaya..

I only object to scent, of any kind.

Especially scent which is not made from the excretions of cats.

My topic is not nonsense.

My topic is based on reality.

In a perfect world, one should be able to ring up your contractor and request a technician with no scent.

Some of us are truly allergic to perfume.

Or, did you not realize this?

I was looking for a present for a girfriend back in the day and looking at the perfume stand and a friend said don't go cheap, better to give one nice gift rather than multiple cheaper gifts, get the Chanel No 5. I did and it went well. My current flame likes CK which is much cheaper at some stores in Australia than Thailand so we are both happy.

The 3BB guys here are great.  No perfume.

I guess they have been told.

gamma's threads are a cautionary tale for kids not to do drugs.

and these threads should all be in the cannabis section of the forum.

You're getting yourself in a pickle here Gamma.

You object to scent of ANY kind, but then you go on to say especially that NOT made from cat pee.

Chanel No 5 is NOT made from that, nor is Old Spice, Brut or Obsession.

Give up GG, it's not worth it.

I can fix most household problems myself, not an issue for me.

Look on the bright side, GG. If you can smell them, you don't have COVID.

please do not group cannabis along with the drugs that the op has or is taking. not fair for the kids and all.
