Trump is the one going against the deep state.

He's the only trustworthy one. And he has no Marxist ideologies unlike the current administration. It's a slippery slope to communism and then where's you civil rights, freedom, and liberty?

But he set himself up for failure even before he became president when he said, "We should never have gone to Iraq; we knew there were no weapons of mass destruction there"

It wasn't up to Biden. He was right. Nobody believes the CIA and the Bush white house didn't lie about the WMD. As for deep state, LOL.

Got a link to substantiate that? ????

No more than the far right have any evidence to support the same accusation against the dems.

If there's any deep state its the dark money behind the Federalist society and supreme court nominations and subsequent sc decisions.,

Except the oil industry deep State, the big pharma deep State, the NRA deep Statet, the real-estate deep State, the rich who got tax cuts deep State..... not to mention the Evangelist deep State, the Catholic deep State, etc...

I think those parties can all be lumped together into something called "The Creep State".

So what has DeSantis done that makes him a fascist? Did he collude with Facebook & Twitter or what?

Demonizing and scapegoating minorities, punishing businesses and elected officials that don't support his policies, restricting protests and public access to government records---generally treating the government as if it were his to do with as he pleases.

But at the end of the day, Trump did leave the Whitehouse voluntarily and he conceded his position to Joe Biden .

This isn't the behaviour of a fascist , fascists remain in power and jail the opposition

A violent attempt at overturning legitimate election results, which fortunately failed.  That's not leaving voluntarily, that's leaving after all other options have been exhausted.

Trump had not quite subverted the rule of law enough to stay in power.  I'm sure he will be better prepared if given another chance.

Right, and you know that's true because Trump said so.  And of course you can trust Trump because he said he's trustworthy.  Just ask the students of Trump University.

Well, one of the most important steps Trump took was to make the rich and powerful richer and more powerful via tax cuts. He also followed that up by appointing Supreme Court Justices who overwhelmingly back corporations at the expense of workers. If only he had a won a second term, just think of how much more damage he could have inflicted on corporate interests

Manchin is likely to become a Republican soon.

Won't do him much good. The odds are overwhelming that he's going to lose to Jim Justice, be it in the primary or general election.

Obviously no one in their right mind would want to see Trump elected again and De Santis is scary.  But Biden is also obviously a spent force and incapable of being President.  Time for Gavin Newsom or Michelle Obama.

Michelle Obama has no interest.

That's certainly her public line now.  But "if" something were to happen to rule Biden out of the race, they would need to act fast to avoid getting stuck with Kamala Harris.  Michelle might the only way to pacify those who feel the replacement has to be a woman of colour.   She'll be persuaded, when her country needs her.

No Democrats of note have ever said that her replacement would have to be a woman of colour. Please justify your allegation. There is no presumption that Harris would automatically get Biden's place if he were to drop out.

I disagree. The Democrats are all about equity, diversity, all that crap.   Kamala would be the presumptive nominee until removed by a primary process.  If it gets late in the game and Joe can't go, then she is your nominee.  There would be hell to pay if the party establishment tried to remove her.

Okay, suppose Biden has a health issue that prevents him for running, who would be a good replacement candidate for the Dems?

Sheldon Whitehouse, Daniel Goldman, Ted Lieu or Hakeem Jeffries.
