Thieves have allegedly stolen over 2 million baht worth of items from a partially-constructed pool villa in Ao Nang, Krabi. The Phuket Express reports that the owner of the villa, Khwansurat Beger, filed a police report 5 months ago but the suspects have never been caught.

Khwansurat, who is from Surat Thani, has also filed a complaint at the Ombudsman’s Krabi office. She says she invested over 10 million baht in building the villa, but construction was paused during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The owner goes on to say that when she visited the construction site with her family on February 10, she noticed that many tools and two large containers were missing, presumed stolen. She says residents nearby told her that the previous month, they had seen people with crane trucks taking the containers away, along with some roof structures. They told her they assumed it was at her instruction.
