Popular Post webfact Posted July 12, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 12, 2023 Sanook reported that Chuwit Kamolvisit, a veteran Thai politician, released a contentious analysis on his Facebook page. He highlighted the power struggle in the formation of the government and the imminent prime minister elections. The Constitutional Court is now deliberating an Election Commission plea to investigate Pita, alongside a massive campaign for Section 112 amendment, with the controversial ITV shares case on hold. Chuwit suggested a plot to overthrow Pita as Prime Minister. He alleged the Election Commission was hastily pushing media share issues to the court, attempting to suspend MPs from their duties. The move, he claimed, was part of a secret deal. Meanwhile, the Court is considering a petition to amend Section 112 by the Progressive Party, potentially leading to dissolution. Chuwit warned against such a secret deal, yet, his caution was ignored. Despite Anon's effort to mobilize protests, Chuwit advises patience, arguing that street protests aren't the solution to democratic issues. He concluded by saying the Progressive Party's move isn't about dignity but a strategic play. He warns against falling for his analysis, reminding readers of his long experience in politics. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2023-07-13 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Popular Post Crossy Posted July 12, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 12, 2023 The headline is somewhat misleading, there's nothing "covert" about it. Decidedly overt! 12 1 6 "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
Popular Post ikke1959 Posted July 13, 2023 Popular Post Posted July 13, 2023 No matter what, but he is right... From the beginning it was clear that Pita never be accepted as PM..And all under the so called democratic system, which was overthrown by coups and now the people have spoken they can't accept the results and do another coup again, first trying with this nonsense and if that fail there will be unrest and there will be a military coup again.. Very democratic For those who don't know the word: Democracy means rule by the people. There are different ways this can be done: People meet to decide about new laws, and changes to existing ones. This is usually called direct democracy. 6 3

To a degree and easily predictable perhaps. But what is not exactly overt is what deal has been done/is being done in the background. Does it involve Pheu Thai? Could there still be a majority government that doesn't include Move Forward? Maybe Pheu Thai are waiting to see the strength of public reaction before deciding on their next moves. Still plenty that is not clear. 2 1

If you want to know who is included in the deal, just look at the picture which was taken at the UK football game about a month ago, and add to that the one who fell asleep in the taxi to the airport 4

Tropposurfer Posted July 13, 2023 Posted July 13, 2023 No wonder the army steps in all the time and runs the place. Not that I condone or promote junta rule. My point is that the nations politicians and elite are so driven by greed and power that they deny the People safe decent humane government because of their petty myopic agenda's (and I'm not say that Pita is an angel or saint either). 1 1
RichardColeman Posted July 13, 2023 Posted July 13, 2023 Maybe they should try and get someone more like our UK prime minister, who is a man of little funds and wealth and therefore is better for the people .......................no, wait........... (and I write that as a right leaning person !)
bignok Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 How do the change the senate? 199 abstain means they are a waste of space.

If you read and apply a bit of comprehension, I would think the meaning was overthrow (read - vote against) the quest to be PM.
