fist fights

Featured Replies

have you ever been in a fight ? how many ? did you win or loose ?

why is it so many people seem unable to control themselves and resort to violence. i find it very strange.

Last one was in high school....Mike Perelli (the school bully) jumped me from behind & our fight lasted about 1/4 mile, through the baseball fields to off campus, over a bridge we stayed on our feet punching and kicking & nobody went down....Then it just ended a basically a draw....My status was then elevated into the high school hierarchy....Girls, rides, wingmen appeared.....I hurt like hell for about a week....

That was the last one until present....

I've broken up a few adult fights  along the way & literally threw a guy out of a bar once (stopping a malee before it could start)....

I don't fight with my wife = I like staying in the win column....????

Are there so many of them?

I see fights very seldom. And normally it only happens if people are drunk.

In general, I follow the rule to avoid any fights, especially in Thailand and especially with Thais.

is there a day that goes by without some sort of serious incidents or happenings ? then there are all the stories that we don't hear about.

of course most people do control themselves. still loads that don't though. and in a modern world with knowledge and information so easily accessible it seems like we should be better by now.

I remember I read a statistic about England a couple of years ago.

I don't remember the exact numbers but it was similar to this:

>30% of people wanted to get drunk

>20% wanted to get extreme drunk

For >10% the evening was only successful if they had a fist fight.

I don't live in the UK and I don't know how realistic these numbers are or were at some point.

Obviously fights happen in Thailand, but IMHO it is very unlikely to get into such fight by accident and it is unlikely to see any fistfights at all.

more so a thai on thai thing here right. ive seen quite a few fights here. when i was younger at the bars often.

my hometown was horrible. probably per capita some serious numbers. big hockey town very famous.

I used to work in bars in my home town, and saw plenty of fights in a country bar. Just like the movies.

But the best fight I ever saw was 2 bargirls in Soi 6, fighting over a customer. Literally in the street.
