I want to rent a condo in Jomtien for 2 months,I dont  particulary want to wave goodbye to maybe 2 months deposit on top of the rental.

Is it a solution to book via platforms such as airbnb/booking.com ? The rental is probably more than I would pay locally but they are not asking ( as  far as I can see) months deposits on top.

Many thanks

You did not mention size, facilities, etc. required.

Try Katalina very close to immigration (thus only a 3-4 minute walk to Jomtien Beach) they have very large apartments around 15,000 per month, for shorter terms.

I rent for 4 or 5 months at a time. The deposits I normally give are 5k or 10k, understandable as they need to cover utilities. I  arrive and get a daily room while I look for a condo. Works well. All the condos have agents in offices on the main floor to check availability so drive around and see what you like.

Good luck.

If you look on airbnb you could get some good discounts staying for a month at a time, also with airbnb they only charge you for the month not the full 2 months, you pay by the month if that makes sense and no deposit required although some owners might be asking for 5000 to 10,000 baht on arrival just make sure you read the house rules, could be electric and water extra.

Other than that look on Agoda you could get a deal in a hotel or condo/hotel this time of the year,

Thanks for the additional and very informative replies, very useful.

I am looking to rent a 35/40 sm place for the months of February and March next year.

I do like to cook at times so a condo with kitchennete would be ideal.

You might find places on airbnb will not have their calendars open that far in advance, I would say you need bigger than that for 2 months and to cook, it might have basic stuff as I said make sure you look at the amenities some very basic,
